Afton (also ''William Afton'' or from fans ''Scraptrap'' called) is one of the main antagonists and an animatronic in FFPS and UCN. He is a serial killer responsible for the events of the series. His rotten and mutilated corpse is now trapped in a broken Spring Bonnie costume. Its appearance corresponds to that of Springtrap.

Description [edit | Edit source]

Afton has a very peculiar appearance and is much more damaged and withered than its counterpart from the third part, but it is still in its trademark rotting greenish-yellow color. He lacks the right part of his forearm, which ends in a bony spine. He also has large molars on the upper jaw and his lower jaw is covered with small, needle-sharp teeth. His head appears to have had cheeks connecting his lower and upper jaws similar to Toy Bonnie's, but they appear to have either crumbled or torn off, revealing Afton's human head and ears below. His eyes are now silver and shiny, with a single gray pupil in the center, with the left eyeball partially obscured by a cord. Both of his ears are missing large parts of their upper halves, whereas the right one is practically no longer present and is no longer covered by a suit. There is a massive hole in his forehead that exposes the head of his corpse. It has a brownish color reminiscent of decomposed flesh, with streaks of more red flesh covering parts of its face and body. The corpse's head also has blackened, metallic-looking lips, the mouth is filled with many small and sharp teeth and four cables, like the springlocks in Springtrap's corpse head. His torso is oddly blocky, especially in the upper chest, and full of cracks that reveal more of his corpse. His costume and limbs are incredibly damaged, so much so that almost all of his arms and legs can be seen through them, and it exposes bleached white bones under his flesh. He's also missing the suit kneecaps that Springtrap had. Unlike in FNaF 3, Afton has a pelvis with a lighter accent near the center that connects to the one on the chest, and there are no missing fingertips on his right hand that now end in sharp, bony claws, unlike the costumed and metal fingertips he had before. He also has Freddy Fazbear-like foot coverings that have strips of flesh, while in the third game he wears a permanent grin with large, blocky teeth, missing the middle fingertip on his right hand (this has been corrected in UCN)

Behavior / appearances [edit | Edit source]

Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator Edit source]

Afton is rescued after Wednesday and taken to the rescue room for interrogation, where you can decide whether to throw him away or keep him (you want to keep him for the good end). If you survived all 5 dialogues you get the money and Afton will chase the player at night. If you die you keep it anyway.

He'll crawl in the ventilation shafts and attack them. If he is nearby you can hear him talking.

During the day he hides in Nedd Bear. If you buy this you can count on Afton at high risk.

Ultimate Custom Night Edit source]

When Afton is activated, it will attack at a random time during the night. Afton's approach is indicated by a loud, high-pitched noise and the rapid flickering of lights in the office. The player has very little time to close the side slot door to prevent them from entering the office, but unlike Balloon Boy and JJ who appear in the same entrance, Afton can attack regardless of whether the surveillance system is in place booted up or not. Fortunately, you can Afton only attack once a night so once they have prevented his attack, they no longer have to pay attention to him.

Dialog [edit | Edit source]

Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator Edit source]

'' What a deceptive calling, I knew it was a lie the moment I heard it, obviously, but it was intriguing nonetheless. "

"That was easier than I thought it would be."

"I always come back! "

"Fascinating, what they have become."

"Bittersweet, but fitting."

"How can I resist, a promise such as this?"

"You may not recognize me at first, but I assure you, it's still me."

"I always come back! "

“HENRY! MIIIKKEEE !!! HEEELLLPP !!! MIKE! HEEELLLPPP! AAAAHHHH !! HEEEEENNNNRRRRYYYY !! HEEEEELLLLLP! "

  • William probably yells at his son and his old business partner from the darkest pit in the mini-game "Old Man Consequences".

Death [edit | Edit source]

His second death came after he escaped from the fire that destroyed Fazbear's Fright and was lured into a fake restaurant by his old partner, Henry. In the completion ending of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, Henry burns down the restaurant and everyone in it and finally frees the ghosts of Elizabeth, Henry's daughter, Michael and the rest of the victims. William's ghost, however, was thrown into "the darkest pit in hell," as Henry said, because he was the only one, he was really vicious.

Trivia [edit | Edit source]

  • William Afton is the killer of most but not all of the dead children in the FNaF franchise (with the exception of Elizabeth Afton) as he is responsible for killing the children who later own the main animatronics in the series.
  • Afton is the 48th animatronic in Ultimate Custom Night and was programmed when Scott considered the game "90% done". Lefty took 49th place and 50 was Phone Guy
  • Afton seems to be commenting on his change in appearance by saying, "You may not recognize me at first sight, but I assure you I still am."
  • One of Afton's dialogues is "Bittersweet but fitting ...", an allusion to the WWI poem Dulce et Decorum Est, which describes one of the worst horrors of the war, death from chlorine gas.
  • In Ultimate Custom Night, William uses the dialog "I always come back" after his jump care. Ironically, its mechanism involves him showing up once a night so he definitely won't be coming back.
