[DIGITAL] 07/05/2021: Alternative career in business - based on a scientific degree

Lecture by the Career Service of the Goethe University in cooperation with the company Fresenius Kabi Germany.

My career path as Head of Marketing shows that your studies and your final career can sometimes be far removed from the classic image of a natural scientist. In the pharmaceutical industry in particular, there are wide-ranging development opportunities for scientists, such as R&D, manufacturing, drug approval, marketing and much more, that are not even considered during a scientific degree.

Speaker:

"Pharmacist with a heart, a clerk with a mind"

The pharmacist Maren Hengsbach completed not only her 3rd state examination as a pharmacist, but also a diploma thesis to try her hand at science. She quickly found out that this was not the way to go and decided against a doctorate and a Master of Business Administration. This opened the way for her to marketing, an area where she has been active for nine years. Today she leads a team of seven people and drives the Fresubin® brand forward at Fresenius-Kabi.
