Everything else that has to do with the F800S + F800ST + F800GT + F800GS and the F800R.

Was that yours, David?
This is awesome, of course, provided the story is completely true.
If BMW is high on itself, then you should be given a brand new F800GT free of charge as compensation.

Top video and top (suitable) sound
(If the movie 'Once Upon A Time In The West' is back in the theater, I'll go back inside.)

My F800ST 08/2006 (maybe a dizygotic twin).
Currently has almost 51,000 km and ran through except for mistake number 1 (rear wheel blockage).
(Battery was broken too, but it is a consumable part).

However, you did not mention that your motorcycle was already on its way.
Kilometers and age do not say anything about the stress that you put on your 'little ones'.
But I think the result is surprisingly good and BMW would certainly have invested just under a hundred more in material costs, or provided ROTAX, then THE perfect and highly resilient motorcycle would be available.

Good Morning,

you should say goodbye to the dream that something else (but really everything, even bread only lasts 2 days, ) is built on longevity, the number of pieces decides.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

As long as 'greed is cool' prevails, nothing will change that!
I work in sales and see the price war every day.
In order for something to get stuck in the end, costs have to be consistently reduced.
If it were up to the developers, we would have unbreakable products. Apart from the wear and tear.

... Well, the German manufacturers have a problem: In a high-wage country or with high-wage companies, they want to produce cheap products ... unfortunately that just doesn't work.

In defense of BMW, however, one has to say about the video that most of the damage can be booked under the heading: Can happen, but must not.

The story with the rear wheel and the storage is, however, an absolute cheek from BMW and it is embarrassing that there has been no conversion.

So far, after almost 30Tkm, I am quite satisfied with my BMW, but I have to admit that I will get a Honda again due to many small things. Also at Honda
not everything is perfect, but I think the price / performance ratio is simply better and many details are simply better designed in most models.

I think the biggest problem with BMW is that they see their quality standards etc. above the other manufacturers ... but unfortunately they are not there. You are at the forefront of many innovations and there you are also a market driver. That's it!

If you ask me, the premium brand is Honda.
They are generally leaders in terms of quality. Better than BMW too.

And what totally shocked me on David's motorcycle upstairs is the fact that the new, replaced rear wheel bearing broke again. I always thought the problem was solved later.

The rear wheel bearing was not revised until 2009. So if it has already been exchanged, the old one will probably have been installed again with the same problem!

but it works.
Look at manager salaries and stock earnings.
One makes a lot of profits in Germany. But they still want a lot more. Then you just press the suppliers until they break. You can very well build good, high-quality products and make a profit in the process.

Tach,

as if the customer had the choice between cheap and inexpensive, there is only cheap,
what interests a manufacturer is profit, no matter how.

Always these fairy tales of the price war.

... I always understand when profits have to be made in order to reinvest money ... in development etc. But this is simply about GREED!

I also think it's the hottest when stores like BMW run up to the Chancellor because they need subsidies to develop fuel-saving technologies ... And get these subsidies too ... and then Merkel goes there and new CO2 regulations now again first tilts.
