What did the Japanese think of the Pacific Rim?

# Jaeger pilots stand high in the Pacific: The black trailer

A new trailer and a new Japanese key visual have been released for Pacific Rim: The Black, an upcoming Netflix original anime set in the world of Pacific Rim Film franchise and the new graphics suggest that the heroes will have to face not only giant monsters and a hostile environment, but also human antagonists.

Netflix describes the story of Pacific Rim: The Black as follows:

There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim to come across gigantic robots, jaegers, built to fend them off. That time has passed. Now Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing an entire continent to be evacuated. Left behind, the teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley set out on a desperate search for their missing parents and teach themselves to steer a battered, long-abandoned hunter to aid in their search and give them the slightest hope of survival.

Produced by Legendary Television and Polygon Pictures, Pacific Rim: The Black will begin streaming on Netflix on March 4th, 2021. The series runs over 7 episodes, each episode being approximately 30 minutes long.
