I still remember the first time I visited Rome. It was back in April 2011, when I did not use to travel so much and it was also my first girls ’trip outside the country. I was just 20 years old and excited like a baby.Imagine five girls trying to see all that Rome has to offer, from cute empty streets to the last museum or statue of the city. I can still recall how tired I was and how bad my feet hurt after those 5 days wandering around those cobbledstone streets.
Today, after my 5th visit in this amazing city, I have come to a conclusion: One can never see Rome too many times. Mmm, let's see: amazingly tasty gelato, cold prosecco, flavorful pasta and stunning architecture - Need I say more?
Oh, yes, I do have one more thing to say. Next time you are visiting the city, be sure to indulge yourself with the ultimate hotel experience at Grand Hotel Palace Rome situated on the famous Via Veneto.
hotel: Grand Hotel Palace
Location: Via Veneto, Rome, Italy
Price: starting from 180 euros / night
Grand Hotel Palace offers stunning views of the city and invites you to experience “La dolce vita”Right in the heart of Rome. The hotel building is an architectural masterpiece designed by Marcello Piacentini and was once known as the Ambassadors ’Palace.
The five stars boutique hotel has 87 luxury guest rooms, including the Executive Suiteswith magnificent terraces and a Signature suite with a panoramic view, a spa equipped with gym, sauna and pool area and a modern business center with 3 totally-equipped meeting rooms.
The hotel also invites you to indulge yourself with the amazing Italian cuisine at Ristorante Cadorin & Lounge Bar.
If you are searching for a luxurious experience at affordable prices, this is the place for you. The details speak for themselves: marble floors, chandeliers made of Murano crystal and colorful mosaics. And I did not mention yet the beautiful frescoes from the Cadorin Salon.
LOCATION AND HOW TO ARRIVE
As I have already mentioned, Grand Hotel Palace is situated in the heart of Rome, on Via Veneto, one of the most famous, elegant and expensive streets of the city. If you have seen Federico Fellini’s classic movie "La dolce vita”, You are already familiar with Via Veneto since the movie is mostly centered in this beautiful area.
Being centrally located, it is pretty easy to arrive at the hotel. The Barberini Metro Station is just 5 minutes away, but if you want to be pampered, the hotel offers transfers from the airport and limousine services. Be sure to ask all the details before your arrival.
From our arrival at the hotel till our departure, the staff at Grand Hotel Palace Rome were friendly and helpful. They were always concerned about our well-being and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Don’t you feel better when you arrive at a new hotel if the receptionist welcomes you with a big smile on his / hers face? Well, so do I. And I have to give a big thank you for this to the lovely Giada that was also kind enough to accompany us to our room while she was telling us more about Rome and the facilities of Grand Hotel Palace.
Together with Giada, we have arrived at the fifth floor using a pretty tiny elevator since they tried to preserve as much as they could from the structure of the stunning building designed in the late ‘20s. (Yep, they didn't use elevators so much back then)
And there it was: our lovely suite was waiting for us with some pale pink shades and a modern chic design.
I have not told you the best part yet. The corner view from our suite was absolutely breathtaking. When I stepped on the terrace, I knew this was my best experience in Rome so far. I have always had a crush on panoramic views of the cities I visited, but this time, I had it all at my feet.
Via Veneto was just in front of us and the sun was shining in January like spring had come especially for us. We even had two seagulls begging us for some treats as our special guests.
The restaurant is located in the stunning Cadorin Salon that gave me the impression that the time stopped and I was back in the ‘20s. I mean look at those amazing frescos by Venetian artist, Guido Cadorin. And because every great day starts with a tasty breakfast, I need to show you some yummy pictures from my mornings at Grand Hotel Palace Rome. Believe me, you will start your day the right way!
One night we enjoyed a lovely dinner at Ristorante Cadorin. I was curious to taste the dishes from Chef’s Selection since I loved the story behind the menu. As I told you before, the hotel was once the Ambassadors ’Palace in Rome, a point of reference for all the foreign political and institutional delegations.
This is why, the Chef, Riccardo Zanni, decided to add some international touch to the restaurant menu and every dish from the chef’s selection has an element linked to one of the five continents. It could be a spice, an ingredient or the way he cooks or dishes it.
They took care of everything. We started with prosecco and some tasty appetizers. For the main course, we went for the pork ribs with barbeque sauce (which were my cup of tea) and a portion of classical lasagnasince I do not miss any chance of tasting it when I'm in Italy.
For dessert, we shared one portion of "White chocolate cremeaux, lime and Teff wheat crumble"Paired with some sweet Sicilian wine. Yummy!

Since it was mid January, we had an unexpected warm weather with 16 degrees Celsius during the day. Still, when the night came and we were wandering the city, it was a bit colder. The best cure for that was some time at Kami Spa, situated right in the hotel.
Although the spa area is not very big, it has everything you need in order to relax after a busy day wandering around the city: pool, sauna, gym and even a center of well-being, where guests can enjoy a selection of Asian-inspired hair, body and massage treatments.
PS: Access to the spa is complimentary for hotel guests.Additional charges will apply for spa treatments.
Being located in the heart of Rome, the hotel has many famous tourist attractions within walking distance.
Be sure to pay a visit to Fontana di Trevi other Piazza di Spagna with the popular Spanish Steps, both around 10 minutes by foot. If you are a shopping addict, you are also in the right place since Via del Corso other Via Condottiare waiting for you close from the hotel.

Our adventure around the world together started last year in February with our first holiday in Rome. This was the reason why we chose the Eternal City to celebrate our first anniversary. Apparently, the coin we tossed in Fontana di Trevi in 2017 made the trick <3
As you can imagine, this weekend getaway was pretty special for us and Grand Hotel Palace Rome took care and made it even more special. We felt spoiled and we truly enjoyed the Dolce Vita. We cannot wait to be back for more <3
